Review LEOPARDSTOWN 23RD JUL Jockey Kevin Manning claimed the three big races at Leopardstown tonight, combining with his employer Jim Bolger for two of the wins and Sean Treacy for the middle leg of his hat-trick.Feature event was the Group 3 Meld Stakes, with Bolger's Tropical Lady fully justifying the decision to keep the five year old mare in training with a game success to complete Manning's treble.Already a six times winner (including at Listed and Group 3 company), Tropical Lady raced last of the four runners and was pushed along entering the straight. However, the daughter of Sri Pekan battled well to head Lord Admiral close home.In-form trainer Jim Bolger also provided Manning with the first of his trio, with Modeeroch, the length and a half winner of the Listed Tyros Stakes. The grey daughter of Mozart received a composed ride from Manning, who steadily forced the winner to head 1/2 favourite Marcus Andronicus inside the final furlong.Manning's second winner was on Sean Treacy's Shersha, in the Irish Stallion Farms Breeders Fund Sweet Mimosa Stakes.Sean Treacy's tough 6yo mare strongly pressed leader Alexander Icequeen from one furlong out, staying on to lead close home, with third placed Miss Sally staying on well for third.Manning was later narrowly denied a four-timer, when Good Surprise was touched off close home by John Kiely's Visit Wexford in the FM 104 Handicap. The opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden went to Kevin Prendergast's Earth Master, the 30th win of the season for Declan McDonogh.Previously a well beaten seventh at Roscommon, the first time blinkered son of Grand Lodge raced prominently before striking the lead entering the straight, before scoring a two length win over Kempes.Michael Grassick's Hard Rock City maintained his 100% record when winning his second race in the Self Catering Ireland Handicap under stable jockey Niall McCullagh.According to Grassick, 'the ground was a slight worry and we will possibly go for a handicap at Galway on the Sunday, depending on how the handicapper reacts.'Charles O'Brien's Forecourt landed the concluding Luas To Leopardstown Race under Fran Berry.
