The Dawn Milk Run Handicap Hurdle at Killarney produced a race worthy of its valuable purse as Grantsville and Cler flashed past the post together.
The race looked to be Cler's for the taking once Ruby Walsh guided the Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old into the lead at the final flight.
But Paul Townend got Grantsville (10-1) to finish with a real rattle, and the result was initially called a dead-heat.
However, the drama did not end there as the stewards decided to award the race to Grantsville due to interference, demoting Cler to second.
The Colm Foley Memorial Novice Hurdle looked a two-horse race on paper and so it proved as The God Of Love (9-10) edged out his main market rival Pillar Of Hercules
Pillar Of Hercules cut out much of the running, but the writing was on the wall when Davy Russell guided The God Of Love alongside at the third-last.
Russell had to work hard between the last two as Pat Hughes' charge put up a game effort, but in the end The God Of Love won a shade cosily, outmuscling his rival by half a length.

The 5-1 chance just got the better of a duel with favourite Born High to run out the winner by a short-head.< Evening Rushour rewarded his connections' patience when coming out on top in the Dawn Omega Milk Maiden.
