Review GOWRAN PARK 14TH JUN Jason Behan proved an able deputy when steering Tarkesar to an easy victory in the Summerhill Maiden at Gowran Park for John Oxx.With Oxx's two main riders, Mick Kinane and Fran Berry, both at York the Currabeg trainer turned to Behan to partner the Aga Khan's gelding. The result was never in doubt as the 11/10f made all to beat Much Reality by a comfortable length-and-a-half margin. It was much harder work for 1/1f Duneden in the Garryduff Maiden Hurdle as Noel Meade's charge got home by a length from stable-mate Flaming James.Niall Madden was at work on the gelding some way from home but he responded well and kept on stoutly to lead after the last.English import Never Will also proved a tough sort in landing the Kilfane Handicap on his Irish debut for Eoin Griffin. The ex-Mark Johnston colt was sent to the front by Davy Condon soon after the start. He relinquished that lead turning for home but battled back well to secure a three-quarters-of-a-length victory over Soranna in a bunch finish.Ruby Walsh got among the winners once again when Emmpat ran out an easy winner of the Kilmurry Maiden Hurdle. The 6/4f was produced to lead at the second last and strode away for an stylish three-length victory over Welcome Attraction.Hanicor stayed on strongly to score at 14/1 in the opening Stroan Handicap while Lucky Spirit, who ran well on the Flat at Ballinrobe last time, made a successful switch back to hurdles in the Dunbell Handicap Hurdle.
