Review cork 9th May Adrian Heskin rode a double at Cork, starting when Kilnockin Lady showed plenty of grit to fend off all challengers in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle.Terence O'Brien's 16-1 chance looked to have a battle on her hands when outsider Teresa Lisbon loomed up approaching the last, but she found more to score by two and a half lengths.Heskin's second win came when Liz Doyle's 5-2 favourite Thekingofconnemara landed the Friday July 11th BBQ Maiden Hurdle.The winner was travelling well along with Rock Gone entering the straight, and a better jump from Heskin's mount at the last sealed the race, with Thekingofconnemara going on to score by a length and a quarter.Pink Hat got the better of a protracted duel with Kandinski to land the Carbon Group Rated Hurdle.The duo were virtually inseparable jumping the third last, but Willie Mullins' 7-2 winner got away from the second last quicker and never looked back under Ruby Walsh, running on to score by seven and a half lengths.Shield ended a sequence of narrow defeats when landing the spoils in the corkracecourse.ie Maiden Hurdle.Aidan O'Brien's 5-4 favourite still had ground to make up on Fruits Of Molly over the last, but he picked up nicely for Robbie Power to run out a three-length winner.Band Of Blood shrugged off a welter burden when positively bolting up in the Father's Day Racing June 15th Handicap Hurdle.Kevin Sexton was content to set sail for home a long way out on the Philip Fenton-trained 5-1 chance, but he soon burned off his rivals in the straight, beating Alf Wright by an eased-down four lengths.Tailors Hill (20-1) showed a smart change of pace to outgun his rivals in the Like Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle under Roger Loughran.
