Me Wee Bonnie Lass gives Cromwell four on the day Me Wee Bonnie Lass enhanced her record to three from four when finishing strongly in the mares' handicap hurdle over 2m1f in Bellewstown. She made it a treble for Gavin Cromwell in the first three races on the card and an across-the-card four-timer with the success of Madame Plaintiff in Gowran Park. The 9/2 chance stayed on for Keith Donoghue (who was posting a double) to challenge at the last and she got the measure of front-running Jolie Coeur Allen on the run-in. First Dare finished well in second, but was a length and a-quarter adrift of the winner at the line. Cromwell said: "Absolutely (likeable mare with a good attitude), and she was actually quite green there today. I think it is only her fourth run of her life and you'd forget that. "She's going the right way and is a nice mare. She has won on heavy as well. "I'm not sure where we will go next, but she has taken a few scalps there. "It is great for the owners, they only live down in Duleek. Great to have a local winner." Cromwell's other winners in Bellewstown were Pinot Gris, ridden by Donoghue, and Club Manager.
