Declan McDonogh completed a quickfire 142/1 double on the opening evening of the Bellewstown July meeting as Red Sabor took a competitive renewal of the Indaver Ireland Handicap.
There was a line of horses across the track as the eight runners approached the business end of this five-furlong sprint but the Andy Slattery-trained gelding proved strongest in the closing stages.
The 10/1 chance kept on well for Declan McDonogh to beat Aggression by three quarters of a length, with Oneoveryou just a neck further back in third.
McDonogh said, “He’s hardy, and Andy put the blinkers back on today. He had a look at the road as they have sprayed it green but he stayed going well. He can win another one of those.”
The former champion jockey was also on the mark just half-an-hour earlier when successful aboard Suburban Sky in a 45-65 rated sprint handicap.
