Maarek's trainer Evanna McCutcheon registered her first winner in Ireland when her Talented Kid landed the Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap, under Donogh O'Connor, at Gowran today.
McCutcheon had been heavily involved in all of Group 1 winner Maarek's successes before taking out a license in 2014. Today's win was her third in total, as Maarek had previously won a Group 2 at York and a Listed contest at Beverley.
Following today's win, she stated “he's always been a good horse but has had his issues, and fair play to the owners for sticking with him. That's my first winner in Ireland. They can't all be like Maarek!"
