The Stewards enquired into an incident in the early stages of this race involving Tradewinds ridden by Shane Foley, placed second, Lord Kenmare ridden by Johnny Murtagh, placed fifth, The Ride Aint Free ridden by Kevin Manning, unplaced, Abundant Spirit ridden by Danny Grant, unplaced, Leah Claire ridden by Seamie Heffernan, unplaced and The Shy Lady ridden by Wayne Lordan, unplaced.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Kevin Manning had ridden carelessly and suspended him for 2 racedays. They also were satisfied that Shane Foley did not contribute to the interference but had breached the Marker Poles Rule, number 211 (a) and fined him ¿100.
