Adrian Heskin is looking forward to continuing his association with the Henry de Bromhead-trained Magical Zoe in the Grade 3 Bottlegreen Hurdle at Down Royal on Friday.
Heskin was aboard the mare when taking both the Grade 3 Irish EBF Feathered Lady Novice Hurdle at this meeting 12 months ago and when making a successful reappearance at Gowran Park.
She also beat all bar You Wear It Well in the Jack de Bromhead Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
“She was very good in Gowran on her seasonal reappearance and we’re looking forward to Down Royal,” Heskin told broadcaster Dave Keena.
“She is owned by a couple of great friends of mine, Paddy and Scott Bryceland, and is an important mare to all of us. We couldn’t have dreamt what she has done and are really enjoying having her.”
Heskin is trying to reestablish himself in Ireland after many successful years based in England and he added: “She’s massive for me as you really need a horse like that to keep your name up in lights and hopefully she can continue to do so.
“She’s been very well handled by Henry and his team, he’s picked his targets and the majority of them have worked out well so hopefully she continues to impress.”
