Oaks hope Mad About You looks set to make her reappearance in the Irish 1,000 Guineas after being ruled out of the English version at Newmarket on Sunday.
Dermot Weld today reported the Moyglare filly in great form but feels that the daughter of Indian Ridge needs more time before returning to action.
"It looks like her first run will be in the Irish Guineas. We were going to run in the English Guineas but she needs a bit more time," said the master of Rosewell House.
"She´s the sharpest of my fillies and a potential Oaks filly. Her form from last season stands up to the closest scrutiny. She´s working exceptionally well."
Mad About You finished third in Group One company on her last two starts as a juvenile when behind Saoirse Abu in the Moyglare and Zarkava in the Prix Marcel Boussac.
Weld also had news of another Oaks hopeful Chinese White, an impressive winner on her sole start at Leopardstown last season.
"Chinese White is a bit backward in her coat and needs a little more time."
