MURTAGH ON THE SIDELINES

John Murtagh will be out of action for some time due to recurring weight and back problems.

The three times Irish champion has been struggling with his weight since a nasty fall from Red Power before the start of the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Murtagh´s agent Eddie Byrne said, ´Johnny is taking a break for the moment to give his back time to come right and his weight to stabilise. He´s been having problems with his back since the fall at Royal Ascot.´

The ride on Juddmonte International Stakes favourite Kalaman will now go to Christophe Soumillon. Dubai Destination, fifth to Six Perfections in the Prix Jacques Le Marois yesterday, will miss the York Group 1 event. This leaves an eight runner line-up which includes Falbrav, Nayef and the Aidan O´Brien-trained Mingun.
