Lyons records double Ger Lyons completed a double this evening when winning the feature race of the evening The Dundalk Breeders Cup Trial Race with Nice Style making it 4 wins in a row for the Desert Style gelding, ridden by apprentice Emmett McNamara and owned by Declan Landy. Ger Lyons said afterwards, "He loves the fast ground and he's a pleasure to train. He's improving all of the time and I felt the step up in trip would suit him. We've no definite plans for him for the future." Lyons first leg of his double was with Palazzone who the first race on the card with Lyons' other stable jockey doing the steering Keagan Latham.
