Wayne Lordan recorded a double at Limerick this evening when taking the mile maiden on Croi An Or
Having just denied one of the yard's runners in the first Lordan teamed up with Tommy Stack to land his brace.
The well-backed Diplomat (2/1 in morning into 4/5 favourite) was soon sent into the lead by Pat Smullen.
He had no answer when claimed by Croi An Or (11/4 from 11/8 in morning) a furlong out, however, and the Windsor Knot colt stayed on best for a length-and-a-quarter victory.
The winner had caught the eye on his debut at Dundalk last November when staying on strongly to finish a close third at 20/1.
"He ran well at Dundalk last year and did well over the winter," said Fozzy Stack afterwards.
"Hopefully he'll keep improving. We've nothing specific in mind for him and maybe we'll look for a winners' race."
