Lordan and Stack land dramatic double The Dunloe Handicap at Killarney produced a terrific finish with Croi An Or just edging the verdict after getting up on the line to grab victory. It was a quick double on the card for Wayne Lordan and Tommy Stack, following a similarly late lunge by Van Rooney in the previous maiden. Suehail got a lovely split on the rail to head another Stack runner, Kedleston, at the furlong pole but that rival refused to back down. The pair battled it out in the final furong but both were just trumped on the line as Croi An Or flew home on the outer to gain a nose success at 5/2. Kedleston just edged the second by another nose, ahead of Suehail, to give Stack a one-two. 9/4 favourite Thomasgainsborough, who had held every chance a furlong out, eventually had to settle for fourth, three-parts of a length further back. "I'd have settled for a dead heat!" said Fozzy Stack afterwards. "I didn't think Kedleston was second. He (Croi An Or) did well to win. We just took on Jessie's horse (Backbench Blues) too soon the last day. "He won't go much further than this trip and is fairly effective at it. A bigger field and a better pace will suit him."
