Limetree Lady justified her short price in great style when running away with the five-furlong maiden at Cork.
Wayne Lordan had his mount out sharply and she took them along up the rail.
The daughter of Selkirk was asked to quickened clear over a furlong from home and the response was electric from the 8/15 shot.
David Wachmans' charge powered clear inside the final furlong to post an impressive seven length winning margin over Faleena
The winner had been second on her debut here last month over six furlongs and the drop back to the minimum trip seemed to suit.
Wachman is currently at the sales in Deauville and said by phone:-
"She ran a very nice race the first day and was quite impressive there. She'll step up to stakes class now."
It was the first winner that Wachman has trained for owner Tadhg Geary, who hails from Newcastle West in Co. Limerick.
