Today's meeting at Limerick, the final day of the Christmas Festival, goes ahead after the track was found to be fit for racing following a precautionary inspection.

There were a further 5mm of rain overnight and going remains heavy.

There will be fresh ground on the hurdle track and the forecast for today is mainly dry with a strong wind at present.

The Christmas Festival also concludes today at Leopardstown where the going is currently yielding to soft on the hurdle/bumper track and yielding, good to yielding in places, on the chase track.

Selective watering has commenced on the chase course, and the forecast is for a mild and breezy day.
