To say that Lily's Angel is performing sweetly since coming under the care of Ger Lyons, is a pretty big understatement. The Clodagh Mitchell-owned three-year-old made it three from three for current connections in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cooley Fillies Stakes at Dundalk.
Again with Gary Carroll in the plate, the 8/11 chance (one firm put a 2/1 to her name last evening) never gave her supporters any great cause for concern.
Carroll asked the Group-placed Dark Angel filly to put the race to bed a furlong out and she responded generously going on to beat Precious Stone (8s into 6s) by two and a half lengths.
Sporting a moustache for Movember, Lyons commented: "She's been a pleasure to train. She hasn't done anything more than she done with Richard Fahey.
"She has a new lease of life and the plan is to go to Dubai now as she qualifies for there.
"We might as well go there as keep her in a cold winter in Ireland." (MG & EM)
