Li Mu Bai came home best of all to take the spoils in the Treo Eile, Retraining Ireland's Racehorses Handicap over a mile at Navan.

Gary Carroll switched him left in third inside the final furlong and he ran on strongly between horses to get up close home.

He came between Monzoon and Red Heel and prevailed by half a length at 9/1 having drifted out from 9/2.

Monzoon got the runner-up berth at 8/1 with Red Heel (7/1) the same distance away in third on the rail.

"That was grand. It's actually his first time going left-handed on turf, he can be a little bit quirky,” said trainer Gavin Cromwell.

“He ran twice in Galway and then ran back in a juvenile hurdle in Ballinrobe, where it was probably just all a bit much for him. We freshened him up after that.

“I wouldn't rule out going for a hurdle with him again but I think we'll stick with the Flat for the moment.” Take My Hand (number 15) reared and unseated Wesley Joyce upon leaving the stalls.
