Levins in the Money again with Spider Money Spider followed up on her win at Tipperary on Thursday as she got up close home to take the last at Limerick, the www.limerickraces.ie Handicap. Trained by Johnny Levins the daughter of Danehill Dancer landed a gamble when scoring on Thursday over a mile and a half, and stepped up to two miles this evening she was sent to post a 5/1 chance. Ridden again by Gary Carroll the victorious five-year-old raced in third and she improved into second under two furlongs out when ridden. She soon challenged Caim Hill, who took it up turning for home, and they had a great battle from there, with the Seamus Mannion owned victor just getting her head in front with 50 yards to race, going on to score by a neck at the line. Caim Hill, under Tom Madden for Philip Fenton, had to settle for second at 15/2, while Foot Solider was a further two and three parts of a length back in third at 16/1 under Conor Hoban for Charlie Swan. Storm Away, who was available at 5/1 in a place last night, went off the well-backed 9/4 favourite and she finished another head back in fourth under Danny Grant for Pat Flynn. Johnny Levins said afterwards: "That was brilliant. She did it very well and she battled very well. "I have the Apprentice Derby in mind for her in three weeks time. My apprentice should have his licence by that time. Hopefully she can give him a nice spin, I think she could be tailor made for it and she is improving away. "My apprentice is Donagh O’Connor and I think this time next year he could be one of the top apprentices." Additional reporting by Gary Carson
