The meeting scheduled for Leopardstown tomorrow has been given the go ahead following a second inspection this afternoon at 3pm.

Officials held an inspection this morning at 8am but decided to have a second look after parts of the track were still covered in snow.

Rising temperatures and a dry day improved conditions sufficiently for the fixture to finally get the green light this afternoon.

The going on the hurdle course is currently described as heavy while the chase track is soft, soft to heavy in places.

The seven-race card featuring the €45,000 QuinnBet Handicap Chase gets underway at 1.40.

The forecast is mainly dry and bright both today and tomorrow with the possibility of showers on Monday when there is also a meeting at Leopardstown.
