Billy Lee, who celebrated his 23rd birthday today, got the perfect present when Akinspirit landed the Belmont Handicap making it a hat-trick of wins for the Invincible Spirit gelding.
Winning trainer Michael Butler who trains near Mullinavat Co Kilkenny said, “That was a little bit too close for comfort, he’s after winning his last two races by short heads.
"We’ve no plans for him yet, we’ll see how he comes out of the race and then decide where to go next.”
