Trainer Matthieu Palussiere saddled 7/1 shot Leah Claire to land the Newbridge Credit Union Handicap in the hands of Danny Grant.
Grant who was always travelling well switched the daughter of Tomba to the rail when short of room over a furlong and a half out.
The pair kept on strongly to lead inside the final furlong to score by a length.
Winning trainer Palussiere said afterwards: "Danny [Grant] gave her a great ride and it was good for Danny to ride a winner on her as he won on her Dam four times."
"We will now try and pick up something similiar for her."
