Latchet secures second career win for in-form Bolger Supporters of trainer Jim Bolger are in clover at present and the trainer's excellent start to the new flat season continued with Latchet's success in the Base Wood Fired Pizza Handicap at Leopardstown today. Bolger's five previous winners this new term have been at odds of 20/1, 16/1, 14/1, 25/1, 3/1 while Latchet's 13/2 success (under jockey Kevin Manning) means the Derby winning trainer currently has a level-stakes profit of E67.5 for a one euro stake. Afterwards Bolger, who is the very early leader in the Trainers Championship, reported “she's (Latchet) been a school mistress for four apprentices and her record isn't too bad. “Hopefully she can do a bit more before it's all over.
