John Oxx celebrated a one-two in the Group Three Killavullan Stakes as Rayeni maintained his unbeaten record in the hands of Fran Berry.
Oxx's Vitruvian Man broke smartly and attempted to make all, and still had a length in hand of all his rivals as the field passed the two furlong pole.
Berry came wide and late on Rayeni, however, and he powered through the closing stages to win by a length and a half.
Oxx is known for his links with owner the Aga Khan, but it was for Miss Yukiko Hosokawa that he completed his double, when Space Telescope won the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) Maiden.
Mick Kinane was forced to settle for second on Vitruvian Man but no mistake in this race, as the 4-1 shot cut down his rivals before going on to beat Toraidhe by a length and a half.
Pat Smullen extended his lead at the head of the jockeys' standings when guiding Famous Name to an emphatic victory in the Listed Jockey Club Of Turkey Trigo Stakes.
Completing a double on the day, which put him four clear of Berry, the jockey was not hard at work when the 11-10 favourite made eyecatching progress on the home turn.< Poet tried to hold off his challenge, but after taking over a furlong from home, Famous Name ran on to record a two-and-a-half-length success.
Smullen had notched his first winner when Casual landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
Never too far off the pace in the early stages, Dermot Weld's 5-1 chance swept into the lead over a furlong out and ran on strongly to win by a length and three-quarters from fellow newcomer Daly < Espartano (14-1) ended a five-race losing run in the Blue Cross Handicap, while Rantavan Wood sprang a 20-1 surprise in the J.R.A. Nursery.
