Kilbeggan on Saturday evening Kilbeggan hosts its first fixture of the year on Saturday evening with action at the ever popular midlands venue due to get underway at 5.30. Last year was a very successful one for the Kilbeggan management with eight meetings attracting a total of over 50,000 racegoers and betting turnover of 5.2 million euro.Sponsorship has become a core part of Kilbeggan's success, and five of Saturday?s races will be sponsored. There are two new sponsors this year with Robert Bagnall of the Bagnall Group (Kinnegad & Rochfortbridge) in the opening maiden hurdle and the friends of the late Sean Hughes of the Mullingar Park Hotel generously sponsoring the three miles handicap hurdle.The other sponsors on the evening are the Bridge House in Tullamore, M.A.Stephen's & Co, Mullingar and the European Breeders Fund.An addition to the facilities at the track this year will be a Ladbrokes betting shop.
