Kenny guides Tipper to seventh win Tipper Road recorded his seventh career win at Limerick today, winning the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap, for trainer Mervyn Torrens and jockey Karen Kenny. The son of Croco Rouge raced in mid-division, before moving through to lead over three furlongs out, eventually staying on well for a three and a half lengths win over Torina. Afterwards Torrens reported "the fast early pace helped, as Tipper Road settles better with a faster gallop. Hopefully the handicapper wont be too severe on him and he'll mix it between Flat and hurdling again. Karen (Kenny) gave him a great ride ? she was recommended to me by agent Ruaidhri Tierney." The win was Kenny's fifth career success and is currently based with Harry Rogers, having spent some time in England with Alan McCabe.
