Roaring Bull (7/1) ran out an appropriate winner of race six at Naas, the O'Driscoll O'Neil Handicap Chase.
Race backer Tim O'Driscoll sponsors successful jockey Jack Kennedy, and he is also an owner at the yard of winning trainer Gordon Elliott.
Owned by Gigginstown House Stud, Roaring Bull is a tricky type, but Kennedy wasn't taking no for an answer and he went away on the run-in to beat pace-setter Velocity Boy by fourteen lengths.
“I thought it was going to be a tough day and I thought we might struggle for a winner,” said Elliott.
“Jack gave him a great ride, he's a bit of a monkey of a horse. The day he won his beginners he nearly didn't want to win but he has ability when things go right for him.”
B.J. Cooper, rider of Peculiar Genius trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race before being pulled up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Scoir Mear trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
