Dundalk specialist Ger Lyons saddled Kalanetta to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at odds of 14/1.
Keagan Latham raced the Kalanisi filly in mid-division and was hard ridden from over two furlongs but kept on well on the outer to get up in the closing stages and deny Manx Miss from the Dave Myerscough stable by a short head.
Winning trainer Lyons said afterwards: “I have to give all the credit to Keagan, he was slowly away and he had to keep switching her from the inside to the outside. He gave her a very good ride to get up on the line.”
