Cruising Katie proved a fortunate winner of the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Beginners Steeplechase, at Limerick, being left in front after the trail-blazing Trimbellina fell at the last with the race at her mercy.
“She loves that ground and winged the fences. She's not back in that long, and we'll keep her on the go over the summer,” said successful trainer Richard Cotter.
