Jungle Prose easily overcame a 12lb hike for her recent Thurles success when running out an effortless winner of the Lough Construction Ltd. Handicap Hurdle at Down Royal.
Formerly trained in the UK by Nick Gifford, the seven-year-old had made a satisfactory stable debut for Gordon Elliott when fourth at Gowran Park before stepping up significantly last time.
However, even after the handicapper had his say, the daughter of Yeats still looks a well handicapped mare, as she travelled easily throughout this contest before quickening clear to complete a quick double for her trainer.
Although certain to get another big rise in the ratings when she is reassessed, the Elliott trained mare could have more to offer.
Gordon Elliott said: "Jack (Kennedy) had the pick of the two of them and he picked the other one (Walking The Walk).
"We were worried about the 12lb we got for winning the last day.
"She won well again and a lot of thanks has to go to Gary O'Brien (broadcaster) who told me to buy her.
"Yes, something like that (Pertemps qualifier) - she is going the right way anyway. She is honest and tries."
