Jockey suspensions Jockeys Mikey O'Connor and Ben Dalton both received suspensions for using their whips improperly at Downpatrick today. O'Connor was suspended for five days for his ride on For Dylan, which finished fourth in the 2m2f handicap hurdle, having “used his whip with excessive force and used his whip with his arm above shoulder height'' Dalton was suspended for one day for the same offence - “using his whip excessive force and used his whip with his arm above shoulder height'' (Regulation 10).
