Trained by Gordon Elliott for the Around The Fire Syndicate, Sea Aster (7/2) got off the mark on her third start over fences in the Bulmers Light Beginners Chase.

Having tracked the leaders, the daughter of Yeats hit the front on the downhill run to the home straight and stayed on well to beat Clifftop by eight lengths.

Winning rider Jake Coen, whose older brother Ben was on the mark earlier in the evening at Fairyhouse, reported: "She had two good runs over fences this year and the race in Killarney the last day was a lot hotter than today's race. I was very happy with her, she jumped well and put the race to bed coming down the hill.

"She loves good ground and that's my second winner over fences."
