Jackie Ellis gives Keane Killarney treble Jockey Colin Keane brought up a near 175/1 treble at Killarney on Jackie Ellie in the extended mile handicap. The 11/1 shot, trained by Paul Flynn, raced in mid-division before making progress down the outside with under three furlongs to race. As she passed the two pole in third, Keane went for the whip and she motored to the front with over a furlong left. The four-year-old filly kept up the gallop and closed out the race as Pontificate (20/1) stayed on for second, beaten a length and three quarters. Rockview Emperor, the 3/1 favourite, kept on for third a further three parts of a length away. Colin Keane said: "She liked the bit of cut in the ground and taking my time suited her as well. "That's my third treble. I had two trebles just after I came back from the suspension last year [for failing to weigh in on a winner at Wexford in August]." Connor King put up 2lbs overweight on the runner-up. Kevin Manning was unseated from Intensified as that gelding left the stalls. Keane's other winners on the card were Bertie Le Belge (7/2) and Sacrificial (9/4). Additional reporting by Alan Magee
