The well-backed No Hassle was another prominent racer to oblige on Ballinrobe's card.
Supported from 3/1 to 15/8 favourite, she tracked Zahina in the early exchanges of the extended mile and a-half apprentice handicap.
She took over with two and a-half furlongs to travel and was clearly moving best of all swinging for home.
The six-year-old mare asserted into the straight and was ridden clear inside the final furlong to sweep home by an emphatic four and a-half lengths. Viceregent took a walk in the market from 7/2 to 9/1, but picked up a runner-up prize in front of Beer With The Boys (28/1).
Trainer Shane Ryder was on lead-up duties. His charge was following up on a Tipperary handicap success just under three weeks ago.
Jockey Sean Bowen said: "I think it's more of a front-running track here. I broke well, got a nice lead off Siobhan (Rutledge, on Zahina) to the three marker and she just picked it up from there and galloped all the way to the line.
"She gets a bit worked up early on, but she's only starting to know what her game is. She’ll probably head to Galway after that and hopefully Shane will want to claim the 7lbs off her again, but that's up to him. I'd like to thank him for letting me ride her today and he's been very good to me.
"I'm in Denis Hogan's six days a week and I go to Fozzy Stack's once a week."
