Strong-travelling Can't Be Done rewarded his supporters with success in the Corrib Oil Handicap Hurdle at Ballinrobe.
The seven-year-old gelding got on terms full of running after the second last, with three furlongs to go.
David Mullins sent him on making the top turn and the pair were clear jumping the last.
They looked home for all money up the straight, however a staying-on 7/2 favourite Goodnightgodbless got a sniff of victory and stormed home to rapidly reduce the lead.
Can't Be Done fended her off by a length at the winning post, though, at 10/1. Se Mo Laoch (8/1) and Filly Mullins (10/1) completed the placings back in third and fourth respectively.
"Tramore was too sharp for him and we were hoping here that he'd keep galloping," winning trainer Billy Treacy said.
"At one stage we thought he was a rogue, but he's not - he just needed the extra trip.
"I only have the two in and the other one (Our Nest Egg) ran in the previous race.
"We have two more to come in for the winter alright but we're not in any hurry with them."
