The Willie McCreery trained Indigo Lady sprang a 66/1 shocker as she made all under Seamie Heffernan to take the feature at the Curragh, the Listed TRM Silver Stakes.
The four-year-old daughter of Sir Percy was previously trained in the UK by Peter Chapple-Hyam and she was having just her third start for McCreery this afternoon.
She disappointed on her first two outings in Ireland, finishing down the field over the course in March before taking sixth behind I'm Yours at Gowran in April.
Having broke smartly she soon led and turning for home she was ridden by Heffernan to go a few lengths clear.
She then tacked across to the stand side rail just over two furlongs out and she plugged on gamely in front from the furlong pole to beat Castle Guest by a neck at the line.
The runner-up was returned a 20/1 chance under Shane Foley for Mick Halford while Qewy (14/1) completed the placings a further three parts of a length back in third under Niall McCullagh for John Oxx.
All the market principles disappointed with the 15/8 favourite (backed from 9/4 on-course) Harasiya finishing seventh under Declan McDonogh also for John Oxx.
Willie McCreery said afterwards: "Some of the credit must go to Camelot as she is about forty days in foal to him.
"She was going home tomorrow if she didn’t perform well today and I told Seamie to be positive. All she does is stay and he gave her a great ride.
"I’ve been frustrated with her as she has been working well at home. That is job done now winning a Listed race with her."
After the race the Stewards gave Seamie Heffernan a two day ban for using his whip with excessive frequency aboard the winner.
