Inappropriate has options at Kempton and Newbury Inappropriate is poised to take another step in his promising hurdling career following a successful Newcastle debut. The Churchill gelding was previously campaigned on the Flat by Harry Eustace, winning twice in 10 starts. After changing hands afterwards he was bought to go to Jedd O’Keeffe’s stable, for whom he a winning debut on Saturday at Newcastle, beating James Owen’s highly-touted Lavender Hill Mob. The juvenile now has options over the Christmas period, with races at Kempton and Newbury pencilled in for his next start. “He’s come out of it really well, everything went to plan on the whole,” said O’Keeffe. “He jumped beautifully at nearly all of them and did it quite comfortably. I don’t quite know how competitive the race was, but we’ll learn that as we see what the horses he took on do in their next races. “We haven’t made any fancy plans, I am looking at introductory hurdle races at both Kempton on the 27th and Newbury on the 28th. “In some races he’d have a hefty penalty because it was a class two that he won, but I don’t think he would in either of those so that is the provisional plan. “He has got a really good attitude, we thought that beforehand and his schooling has been terrific. He’s got a lot of good qualities, he’s a good looking horse with plenty of size and strength about him. “We are certain there’s more to come but how much, we’ve no idea.”
