Impressive success for Turn Favourite backers signed off at Clonmel on good terms with themselves as hot-pot Turnandgo readily landed the odds in the bumper. Patrick Mullins oozed confidence on the 1/2 market leader, who cruised to the front well over a furlong out. The Gigginstown-owned gelding, a point-to-point winner at Lisronagh and just denied on his debut under rules in a bumper here last November, quickly powered clear to beat newcomer Mona Agnes (10/1) by an impressive 11 lengths. Graigue Cross (25/1) was a further two and three quarter lengths back in third. Patrick Mullins commented afterwards, “He loves that soft ground and he will make a smashing chaser. We’ll wait to see what Michael (O’Leary) wants to do next.” Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
