What's Up Darling ran right away from his rivals in the concluding colts and geldings point-to-point bumper at Tipperary to seal a double for Gordon Elliott.
This son of Shirocco made 280,000 guineas at the sales in December, five days after winning his point-to-point by 13 lengths at Quakerstown. He was a beaten favourite in third at Cork on racecourse debut for Elliott in a point-to-point bumper last month.
He tracked the leaders into the straight and overwhelmed the leader Syracus Du Houx approaching the final furlong.
The front two were clear but What's Up Darling sprinted right away inside the final furlong to win by an easy six lengths to justify 3/1 favouritism.
Syracus Du Houx was backed down to 9/2 and finished a clear second ahead of Minella Rescue (22/1).
Jockey Harry Swan said: "In Mallow he ran with the choke out and I was never really happy, but today he was lovely and settled and loved that ground.
"He was hanging a small bit, but that was through greenness and he has loads of gears. There is improvement in him and he is one to look forward to."
