Impervious bolted up on chasing debut at Wexford for Brian Hayes.
This year-old mare ran up a hat-trick over flights last season including in a Grade 3 mares' novices' hurdle at Down Royal.
She went off 13/8 favourite for this beginners' chase over two miles and, in truth, her backers had few moments of worry.
She eased to the front two out and soon asserted. Her main pursuer Marvel De Cerisy took a crashing fall when beaten in second allowing Cayd Boy to come through for the runner-up spot.
Impervious was eased down to score by two and a half lengths from the 11/4 runner-up. Aarons Day was 13 lengths back in third at 50/1.
Trainer Colm Murphy said: "You are afraid of your life running them on that ground first time out, but she was good and I was delighted with the way she jumped.
"We will see how she is but you'd imagine she will be heading for some of the nicer races along the way. Our hands are tied as to where we can go, the programme book kind of dictates things. She will get the valuable 7lb allowance against the geldings which is massive and she is one to look forward to.
"She will know she had that race on that ground, it wasn't ideal on her first run back so I'd imagine I will give her a month now. We will see how she is then and make a plan."
Paddy Power cut Impervious from 25/1 to 10/1 for the Mares' Chase at Cheltenham.
