Ibergman back on form for Lavery Ibergman produced a game front-running performance to land a bit of a touch in the Property Partners Earley (Fillies) Handicap at Roscommon. Ronan Whelan got to the front after a furlong on the well-backed 11/2 shot (10/1 this morning) and she made the best of her way home from there. The Sheila Lavery-trained daughter of Big Bad Bob stuck on well in the closing stages to hold the late charge of Jackie Ellis by half a length. The winner had been well held on her previous three outings this year but had won twice last season. "She has a great attitude, and that was probably her best run. She needs a cut and a hill. Usually she hits a flat spot but she didn't today,” said Lavery. "She's in over a mile at Navan on Friday and, if she comes out of this well, she could go there. Hopefully after that she'll run in one of the nice handicaps at Galway." (Quotes by Alan Magee)
