Hussey delight at winning on Big Gossey Big Gossey (2/1 favourite, from 3s on track, and bigger earlier) took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race at Dundalk in style on outing number four. Second twice previously over the five furlongs on the polytrack, under Mick Hussey here for Charles O'Brien, the grey went a place better by four and a quarter lengths from Bombshell (7/2 out to 11/2). “Gary (O'Brien), who led him up there, does a lot with this horse,” said Hussey. “He gets me to ride him work in the Curragh for Charles. Gary has been a good friend of mine since I started off with Declan Gillespie. “He brought me to all the Dublin matches down through the years. “The horse has improved and he's done a great job with him. Him and Charles are doing a great job with him. “He's improving every week and there is more improvement in him again. He's an out-and-out sprinter.” S. Foley, rider of Lapses Linguae (FR) trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right during this race. (GC & EM)
