House records third Dundalk success Farmleigh House came with a strong surge to run out a ready winner of the six furlong handicap at Dundalk. Niall McCullagh produced his mount to lead at the furlong pole and he stayed on strongly inside the final furlong to win with a bit in hand. Willie Martin's charge posted a length-and-three-quarter winning margin over Elusive Ridge. The winner was sent off 9/4 favourite on track having been 3/1 this morning. He had just lost out when third in a tight finish over course and distance three weeks ago. The Medecis gelding had also scored twice over the trip here last winter. "He's improved so much at home. He had a little setback during the week but came through that ok," said Martin. "I think he'll do better than that. He missed the break a bit tonight. "After his last win we thought he was going to die as he got a virus but everything is fine now. "He's versatile and is good over five, six and seven." Khyber Pass, who was never involved in ninth, was reported to be clinically abnormal post race. (Additional reporting by Michael Graham)
