Holiday In Kerry (8/1) landed the 3m1f handicap hurdle for Eric and Conor McNamara.

The Flemensfirth gelding, a winner at his local track of Limerick last year and placed in two of his previous three starts this year, came through to lead two out and was soon ridden clear. The seven-year-old stayed on well to beat Kingston Kid by two and a half lengths.

Winning trainer Eric McNamara remarked: "I'm delighted for Vincent (Casey, present owner) and the eight-member syndicate as they have been wonderful owners.

"He has been placed numerous times and that's his second win. I'd like to think there's a handicap chase in him off a similar mark, he wants extreme staying distances and today's ground is as good as he wants it.

"We might run once more but he'll have a break and come back for Listowel in September."
