Hilltop Racing and Hogan land claiming race one two Owners Hilltop Racing, and trainer Denis Hogan, had a one two in the Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Claiming Race with Tony The Gent under Joey Sheridan beating Yuften and Joe Doyle. Rated 75 Tony The Gent came in for strong support to see him dispatched the 10/11 favourite. With an official rating of 92 Yuften went the other way in the market, from odds-on out to 6/4. Yuften was sluggish from the stalls and never really looked likely as Tony The Gent was soon settled behind the leaders. He led over a furlong out before comfortably beating staying-on stable companion Yuften by two and a quarter lengths. “We'll take them anyway they come, I thought it would be the other way around,” said Hogan. “This guy has been running well here all winter and that's his ideal trip. The other fella just has a few issues and Joe felt he fell out of the gates, didn't travel great and then stayed on late. “The winner has been good to us. It was James' idea to claim him for €20k, I thought he was a shade dear but to be fair the boys know what they are doing when they put in these claims. They have their homework done. “He's a good fun horse. It wasn't the strongest race ever but he got a good possy and travelled well. “It's great that we are here and the racing is going ahead. It's working fine for now, obviously if the situation escalates and gets worse that's a different story. “For now everyone is doing everything right so well done to HRI, IHRB, the Government departments and all the racecourses are doing super work. “Everyone is adhering to all the protocols. “I stopped in the shops on the way up, galloped a few on the Curragh, and I probably met more people during the day than I have here so I can't see what is being done wrong.” There were friendly claims by the owner for the first two, Tony The Gent and Yuften.
