Headlong wins Dundalk's finale, by a head The John Larkin trained Headlong kept his head in front for long enough to win the concluding Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Maiden at Dundalk this evening, scoring by a head under jockey Ross Coakley. Coakley moved the son of Aussie Rules to the front entering the home straight but the pair were all out in the closing stages, before eventually holding off the fast finishing placed horses, headed by Saga Diamond. Afterwards Larkin stated "we bought him at Tattersalls in the Autumn and we were a bit disappointed he hadn't won before now as he works so well at home. "Ross said to put blinkers on him and see what happens. He jumps a hurdle and will go hurdling on good ground." By Tom Weekes, quotes from Gary Carson
