Hayden scores second winner in a fortnight Trainer John Hayden registered his second winner in a fortnight when his William Ashford landed the Pick 6 Is Heading For One Million Handicap at Gowan today. Ridden by Tom Madden, the son of Art Connoisseur was produced with a well timed challenge, from off the pace, before scoring a four and a quarter lengths win over Double Fast. Hayden, whose previous winner was on September 9 with Accalia, later stated “he’s a home-bred and seemed to handle the soft ground but we thought he might not. “He's a different horse than he was early in the year when had a wart under his belly and it was bothering him. We had to get it shifted and everything went well after that. “He seems to stay a mile alright and I'll have to study the calendar now and see what is next.
