Jessica Harrington is looking forward to seeing Pathfork test his powers in the Galileo EBF Futurity Stakes at the Curragh today.
The two-year-old bolted up on his debut at the same track a month ago and the form looks strong with the runner-up going on to subsequent success.
Pathfork will have more on his plate against Jim Bolger's Phoenix Stakes runner-up Glor Na Mara this weekend though, and Harrington admits improvement is essential.
"He was very good the last day but he's got to step up now against horses who have run in Group One company," said the trainer.
"He's a horse I've always thought was nice and it was good to see him go and do the job first time out.
"The ground shouldn't be a problem to him. It was on the quick side when he won and he is American-bred, so you would think quick ground would suit.
"Glor Na Mara's got the best form in the race and then there is Samuel Morse so they are probably the two to beat.
"Our horse is in good form and we'll just have to see if he's up to it."
