Wexford trainer Larry Byrne got a welcome boost in the concluding Greenmount Summer Fun Flat Race when his Har Will scored by a length and a half from the heavily backed favourite Jewel In The Sun (2/1 into 9/10).
Byrne suffered a stroke in recent times but he is on the road to recovery and was racing at Wexford last Friday evening.
New Ross jockey Andrew Doyle, partnering his fifth winner on the track, said: "Lar's horses have been running well without winning and it's great that this fellow has got his head in front."
