A dry night at Limerick has resulted in a very slight improvement in ground conditions today, with the going now described as soft to heavy (heavy in places).

There will be fresh ground available this afternoon, with the first on a seven race card getting underway at 2.10pm.

Racecourse manager Russell Ferris was delighted with yesterday's meeting saying, "The weather is always important, and the nice sunny day saw our crowd up about 500 on last year at around 3,000.

"We had no rain overnight, and are looking forward to a good family day this afternoon. We have a bouncy castle and some other entertainment for children.

"It is a nice card today with a good entry. The admission price is just €10, and under 16's are free."
